SHOPIAN: Police in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday conducted searches at multiple locations linked to terrorists currently operating from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Official sources said that the raids were carried out at several residential houses belonging to individuals associated with these militants. The searches, they said, are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the local support networks of proscribed terror outfits.

A police officer confirmed the development and said that incriminating material, if found, will be seized for further investigation.

“These operations are aimed at tightening the noose around those aiding or facilitating terror activities from across the border,” the officer added.

Further details are awaited. -(GNS)
