Srinagar: An unidentified militant has been killed after a gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in the Aragam area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Srinagar based news agency GNS quoted top police officer as saying that a gunfight broke out this morning on a specific input received by police and security forces.
During firefight one militant has been killed whose body can be seen lying from a distance. The identity of the slain militant is being ascertained, the officer added.
Till this report was being filed the operation in the area was still underway.
