In an unfortunate road mishap, a minor girl was killed while four others sustained injuries at Donipora, Sangam area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Scroll quoted officials as saying that an accident occurred at Donipora old NHW between a vehicle (Thar) bearing registration number JK05-8889 and a truck bearing registration JK22-9011, resulting in injuries to five persons traveling in Thar.
The official said that all the injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared a minor girl dead on arrival.
Official identified the deceased as Ateefa, daughter of Mohd Aqib of Rajouri Kadal.
Further, official identified injured persons as, Aqib Ahmad Bhat (26), son of Mohd Shaban of Rajouri Kadal Srinagar; Amir (30), son of Mohd Ashraf of Baba Kadal Srinagar; Asmat Jan (32), wife of Aqib Ahmad of Rajouri Kadal; and Afan (7), daughter of Mohd Aqib of Rajouri Kadal.
Meanwhile, police in this regard have registered a case and started further investigation.
