Srinagar: A militant has been killed and a civilian injured in an ongoing encounter in the Sopore area in Baramulla, said a report.
News agency IANS in an ‘X’ post wrote; “One terrorist reported killed, and one local injured in the encounter in Sopore (sic.).”
Pertinent to mention here that a gunfight has broken out between militants and a team of joint forces at Nowpora, Sopore.
Meanwhile, news agency KNO quoting officials also reported about injuries to a civilian in the ongoing encounter.
Identified as Farooq Ahmed Dar, the person has reportedly received a bullet injury in his shoulder and is under treatment at a nearby health facility.
