SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre (MeT) Srinagar has forecast a possibility of moderate to heavy rain and snowfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, across parts of Jammu and Kashmir during the night of January 26 to the evening of January 27.
In view of the expected weather conditions, farmers have been advised to suspend all farm operations till January 28 to avoid potential losses and ensure safety.
The MeT department has also issued an advisory for the general public, particularly those living in or traveling to snow-bound higher reaches, urging them not to venture into sloppy and avalanche-prone areas during the period.
