Srinagar: One person was killed while three others were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road near Katarmal Poonch and fell into a river.
Local news agency News Vibes of India (NVI) quoted officials as saying that a man was killed while three others onboard were injured when a Tata mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK12A 9878, which was on its way from Poonch to Rajouri, skidded off the road near Katarmal and fell into a river.
He said that among them, Tahir Ahmed, son of Gh Nabi, a resident of Sayila Surankote, was declared brought dead at GMC Rajouri Hospital, while the injured were identified as:
- Ashfaq Ahmed (40), son of Azam Hussain, resident of Dogran Surankote, presently residing in Rajouri;
- Muzamil Hussain, son of Ab Majid, a resident of Dogran Surankote, presently residing in Rajouri;
- Arbaz Sheikh, son of Mohammad Bashir, a resident of Bunni Khet Surankote.
Moreover, the police have taken up the investigation.
