SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Tuesday forecast partly to generally cloudy conditions across Jammu and Kashmir over the next week, with chances of light rain or snow at isolated higher reaches on a few days.

According to the latest bulletin issued by the Met Centre, the weather on October 21 is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy with a brief spell of very light rain or snow possible over isolated higher reaches.

From October 22 to 23, the weather is likely to stay generally cloudy and dry, while October 24 may witness a brief spell of light snowfall over upper reaches during the late afternoon or evening hours. Between October 25 and 27, the region is expected to experience dry weather under partly to generally cloudy skies.

The forecast further indicates that between October 28 and 29, there is a possibility of light rain at a few places and light snowfall over isolated higher reaches, while the weather is expected to turn partly cloudy and dry again on October 30 and 31.

The advisory issued by the Met Centre has urged farmers to continue all routine agricultural activities as weather conditions remain largely favourable. -(KL)
