AWANTIPORA: A minor girl, was mauled to death in a leopard attack at Midoora area of Awantipora on Saturday.
Quoting an official, news agency Kashmir News Corner reported that the girl identified as 5-year-old, Tanzeela daughter of Mohd Rushan Khan resident of Gujar Basti Midoora Tral awantipora Pulwama.
The girl was attacked by wild leopard and left her dead body in nearby forests of Midoora after the massive searches the dead body was recovered, he said.
The tragic incident has triggered fear among residents, who have urged the Wildlife Department to take immediate steps to curb the growing threat of wild animals in the locality.
