Jammu: An unidentified Militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter in the Billawar area of Kathua district on Sunday.
Srinagar based news agency GNS quoted officials as saying that early morning today operation was resumed and during firefight one Pakistani militant was killed as well his body has also been retrieved.
The operation in the area is still underway, they said. ADGP Jammu Anand Jain is personally monitoring the whole operation, they said.
Yesterday, a gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Billawar after a specific input was received by the security forces.
During intial exchange of fire with militants one Head Constable was killed while as DySP and a ASI were injured.
