SRINAGAR: At least three persons were injured after a pashmina press machine burst in Palpora Noorbagh area of Srinagar on Tuesday, officials said.

They said that the incident occurred inside a pashmina press unit, resulting in injuries to three workers who were immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment. One of the injured has been reported to be in critical condition.

The injured have been identified as 20-year-old, a resident of Lolab Kupwara, who is stated to be critical; 23-year-old, a resident of Bemina, who sustained superficial injuries; and 22-year-old, a resident of Hamdania Colony Bemina, who also suffered minor injuries.

Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (KNC)
