SHOPIAN: The Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), District Centre Shopian, successfully concluded the Management Development Programme (MDP) – Batch VII today at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Kanjiullar, Shopian, aimed at strengthening the managerial and entrepreneurial competencies of existing entrepreneurs of the district.
A total of 22 candidates were enrolled in the programme, out of which 21 participants successfully completed the training. The batch comprised 20 female and 1 male participant, reflecting strong women participation in entrepreneurial activities in the area.
The MDP–VII focused on enhancing participant’s understanding of advanced business and management practices, including business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, digital awareness, government support schemes and essential soft skills required for sustaining and scaling existing enterprises.
The sessions were delivered through interactive discussions, practical examples and activity-based learning for effective real-time application.
On the concluding day, Sayeem Rafiq, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Shopian, interacted with the participants and emphasized the importance of adopting improved management practices to strengthen and expand their existing business ventures. He assured continued mentoring and handholding support from JKEDI.
Rayees Manzoor, Faculty JKEDI, served as the reviewer for the programme and interacted online with the participants. He reviewed the training process, appreciated the active engagement of the entrepreneurs, and encouraged them to implement the learnings in their business operations.
