JAMMU: The Jammu & Kashmir Government has placed Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Mechanical Division, South Awantipora, under suspension with immediate effect following his detention by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Kashmir.
Government Order No. 55-JK (JSD) of 2026 and signed by Shaleen Kabra, IAS, Financial Commissioner (ACS), Jal Shakti Department Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Dar, I/c Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Mechanical Division, South Awantipora, under suspension.
Order states that the suspension is effective from March 28, 2026, the date of the officer’s detention.
During the period of suspension, Mr. Dar will remain attached to the office of the Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Kashmir, and will be entitled to subsistence allowance in accordance with the rules.
The action comes in reference to Letter No. JSD/PHE/Estt/28368-69 dated March 30, 2026, received from the Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Kashmir, and is in line with Rule 31 of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.
The government has directed that the officer will continue to remain under suspension until further orders. (KNC)
