Srinagar: Hardcore OGW with Weapon and war-like stores apprehended during cordon and search operation in Wopazan, Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir Scroll that 3RR alongwith JKP Anantnag launched a cordon and search operation after received a specific information regarding presence of unidentified militant, during the CASO suspected person started to flee but tactfully joint team of forces apprehended and frisked the person.
“During the frisking 01 Chinese Pistol, 02 Magzines and 14 Chinese Rounds were recovered”, they said.
The individual is identified as Liyakat Ah Ganie (24) S/o Lateef Ah Ganie resident of Banpura Mohalla, Wopazan.
In this regard an FIR no. 175/2023 U/S 7/25 IA Act 20, 39 ULAP Act has been filled in PS Bijbehara and investigation has taken up.(KS)
