Shopian: A youth has been attacked on his wedding day in the Rakhama area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Locals, as per The Kashmiriyat said that on Saturday evening, a groom identified as Mubashir Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed Naikoo, was attacked with a knife in the Rakhama area of Shopian.
They said that unidentified persons barged into the house of the 28-year-old groom on his Mehandirat, the first day of the two day wedding.
Mubashir was rushed to the hospital after being critically wounded during the attack. Hospital officials confirmed that Mubashir was brought to the District Hospital of Kulgam with injuries on his abdomen.
