Shopian: With great zeal and vibrant participation, the Full Dress Rehearsal for the 76th Republic Day celebrations was conducted today at District Police Lines (DPL) Shopian.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade, and took the salute on the March Past presented by contingents of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP), CRPF, Fire & Emergency Services, Forest Guards, Home Guards, NCC, and students from various schools across the district.
Addressing the gathering, the ADC extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Shopian on the upcoming Republic Day. He emphasized that the event symbolizes collective efforts to honor the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters while celebrating the ideals of unity, diversity, and inclusivity that the country upholds.
The program featured cultural and dramatic performances by school children and local artists, showcasing the district’s rich cultural heritage and patriotic spirit. The performances were organized in collaboration with the Departments of Education, Information, and Youth Services & Sports.
