SRINAGAR: A team from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Anantnag, led by the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, conducted surprise inspections of dental laboratories across the district.

An official said that the inspections were carried out on April 29 and 30. They said four unregistered dental laboratories were identified and immediately sealed during the inspection drive.

The action, according to health officials, was part of a broader initiative to enforce regulatory compliance and protect public health.

“This move highlights the administration’s zero-tolerance policy towards unlicensed medical practices,” said an official from the health department.

The inspections were aimed at identifying establishments operating without proper registration and violating healthcare norms.

The Chief Medical Officer has also directed further inspections of various clinical establishments in the district to ensure strict adherence to medical standards and legal requirements.

Health authorities have urged the public to seek services only from authorised and licensed clinics and laboratories to ensure safe and ethical healthcare practices. (JKNS)
