Srinagar: The Kashmir region is on high alert as meteorological experts warn of potential flash floods and cloudbursts over the next four days. This warning follows a severe heatwave that has gripped the area over the past week, significantly increasing atmospheric instability.

The prolonged hot weather has led to higher surface temperatures, causing increased evaporation rates and resulting in a greater accumulation of moisture in the air. As monsoon winds approach, this accumulated moisture could lead to intense showers and cloudbursts, particularly in vulnerable areas.
