SRINAGAR: At least three residential houses and three shops were gutted in a fire incident in the Peer Mohalla area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.

Officials said that the fire broke out under mysterious circumstances, quickly engulfing several structures before fire tenders, police, and locals managed to bring the flames under control.

No loss of life was reported in the incident, though the property suffered significant damage. The cause of the fire is being ascertained, and authorities have launched an investigation. (JKNS)
