Bandipira: A financial literacy camp was held in Gundjahangir Naidkhai village of Bandipora district on Monday.The camp was held to facilitate various banking assistance to the villagers in opening bank accounts; to avail government subsidies and benefits under central and state welfare schemes.
Besides providing forms and assistance in opening bank accounts, the bank staffs also created awareness on various schemes and policies under banking sector like Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) ,Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (APY), mobile banking, kissan credit cards etc.
They also created awareness on banking frauds and appealed to all the public to be aware of such practices.
The program was Supported by NABARD J&K RO UNDER FIF. BCC Bank Baramulla accompanied by Naidkhai Branch Manager Mohd Amin Dar, FIF Mohammad Ayoob and Zonal Head Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Andabi with the Local people of Gundjahangir to aware New Schemes which is issued by Govt of India.
