Srinagar: Gunfight has started between militants and security forces in the forest area of Parigam Area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
Local news agency Kashmir scroll quoted official sources as saying that a joint team of Police and Army launched a cordon and search operation in Parigam.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
Kashmir Scroll confirmed about the exchange of firing between militants and security forces from official sources also.
