SHOPIAN: The Mission Shakti Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (MSEW), Shopian, under the aegis of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, successfully hosted an awareness programme today at the Government Higher Secondary School, Zainapora. The event aimed to significantly promote the education and empowerment of girls in the region.
The function saw the presence of SDM Zainapora, Bilal Ahmad, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Ahmad commended the dedicated efforts of Mission Shakti for organizing such crucial awareness initiatives. He strongly underscored the principle of collective responsibility in guaranteeing that every girl child is provided with equal opportunities in both education and personal development.
Encouraging Students to Be Agents of Change
Farooq Ahmad Shah, the Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Zainapora, served as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Shah praised the initiative and directly urged the attending students to step forward and become ambassadors of change within their communities.

Adding a vibrant element to the awareness drive, a painting competition was organized. Students actively participated, utilizing the theme “Empowered Girls, Empowered Nation” to creatively showcase their ideas and artistic talents.
The successful programme culminated in a felicitation ceremony, where certificates and mementos were distributed to honour the participants and acknowledge the winners of the competition.
