SRINAGAR: The Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) has expressed deep concern over the recent incidents of misbehavior and harassment faced by government employees at the hands of certain politicians and political workers.

EJCC said that several disturbing videos circulating on social media show employees being threatened, humiliated, and obstructed while performing their official duties.

Chairman EJCC, Aijaz Ahmad Khan, strongly condemned these incidents, describing them as “unfortunate, unacceptable, and deeply distressing.” He said such acts have caused serious concern among the entire government employee fraternity.

Khan urged the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister to take immediate cognizance of the matter and ensure the safety, dignity, and respect of employees at all times. “If there are any shortcomings on part of an employee, there are laid-down administrative procedures to address them. No individual has the right to threaten or humiliate a government employee,” he stated.

Reiterating that such behavior will no longer be tolerated, the EJCC Chairman called upon employees to continue serving the public with sincerity and dedication, assuring them that the Committee stands firmly with every employee and will take all possible measures to protect their honor and dignity.
