Jammu: A viral video alleging harassment of a nomadic tribal person in Jammu has led to the suspension of Jaswant Singh, a watcher, pending inquiry.
As per an order issued by
Divisional Forest Officer Urban Forestry Division, Jammu, (Ashwani Kumar) SFS reads, In view of a viral video in circulation on the social media regarding alleged harassment of a nomadic tribal person in Jammu (Channi Area) by the field staff of this office.
In this regard the higher authorities have taken serious note of the matter and after preliminary verification of the video and the incident by undersigned, it is hereby ordered that pending enquiry into the matter, Sh. Jaswant Singh, Watcher (presently posted in the Sunjwan Range of this division) is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect and further attached in the TT Range Nursery, reads the order.
