District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today listened to public issues at the weekly Block Diwas programme at Block Imamsahib.
DDC Members, SDM, Zainapora, Assistant Director,Planning, Tehsildar, Chitragam, BMO, Zainapora, Block Development Officer, Imamsahib, District Officers of various departments and PRIs of the block also participated in the Block Diwas.
The DDC Members, PRI members and local people and those from the adjoining panchayats projected scores of demands and projected the problems being faced by them. They demanded augmentation of drinking water, New Ambulance, improvement of drainage system, road connectivity, Installation of Street lights , construction of lanes and byelanes, Cleaning of drinking water reservoirs, easing of Traffic congestion, repair of paths, installation of Transformers and replacement of wooden poles etc.
Responding to the demands, the DDC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. He directed concerned officers to resolve the genuine demands of public on priority and submit the detail report of pending issues for projecting to the higher authorities for consideration.
Enroute, DDC met several delegations at Wadipora and other adjoining areas who apprised him of their problems and developmental issues faced by the inhabitants.
DDC heard them patiently and assured that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner within a shortest possible time for the well-being of the people.
On the occasion,the DDC Members also highlighted some issues of public importance for early redressal and within the stipulated timeframe.
