SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has ordered the termination of two government employees for their alleged involvement in activities deemed detrimental to the sovereignty and integrity of India.

Quoting sources, news agency Kashmir Dot Com reported that, the dismissed employees have been identified as Ghulam Hussain and Majid Iqbal Dar, both serving as teachers in the Education Department.

The terminations were carried out under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution of India, which allows the government to dismiss employees without an inquiry in the interest of the security of the state.

Authorities said the duo were found to have links with terror outfits and were allegedly involved in propagating anti-national activities. The action follows a sustained crackdown by the administration on government employees suspected of supporting or facilitating terrorism in the Union Territory.

Since 2021, dozens of employees across various departments have been dismissed on similar grounds as part of the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and separatism.
