SRINAGAR: Ahead of the upcoming budget, the Chief Minister on Tuesday chaired a series of pre-budget consultations with heads of various departments to assess developmental priorities, public needs and fiscal planning for Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

During the deliberations, the Chief Minister underscored the importance of aligning departmental proposals with the administration’s broader vision of inclusive growth, transparency and efficient public service delivery.

The meetings aimed to ensure that budget allocations directly reflect ground realities and citizen aspirations.

Officials privy said that the review covered critical sectors including infrastructure, education, health, rural development and employment generation.

They said, the CM directed departments to focus on measurable outcomes, optimal utilization of resources and timely completion of ongoing projects.

Senior bureaucrats, financial advisors and representatives from core development departments were present during the consultations. —(KNC)
