A lunar eclipse, also known as Chandra Grahan in India, is a celestial phenomenon that occurs when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow on the Moon. The Moon will turn a reddish-brown colour during a lunar eclipse.

The next Chandra Grahan will occur on October 28, 2023, and will be visible in India. The eclipse will begin at 11:31 PM IST and will end at 2:24 AM IST on October 29. The greatest eclipse will occur at 1:45 AM IST on October 29.
