Srinagar: Body of a boy who drowned in river Jhelum while taking a bath in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday has been recovered.
Srinagar based News Agency Kashmir Scroll quoted officials as saying that on Wednesday a boy drowned while taking bath in river Jhelum in old town Baramulla.
He has been identified as Hazim Nasir son of Nisar Ahmad Dar resident of Jalsheeri.
He said that soon after the drowning incident, police and SDRF reached the spot and efforts were taken up to retrieve body.
He said that after strenuous efforts, body was recovered on Friday.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.
