JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators on Tuesday staged a protest inside the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, demanding the establishment of a National Law University (NLU) in Jammu, as the second day of the ongoing Budget Session began.

BJP MLAs raised slogans and pressed for immediate clarity from the government on the location of the proposed NLU, asserting that Jammu has long been deprived of premier educational institutions.

The protest comes a day after Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma stated that BJP will intensify their agitation and join students in demanding the National Law University for Jammu. He had maintained that the demand reflects the aspirations of the youth and legal fraternity of the region. (KNC)
