Afghan people carry sacks of rice, part of humanitarian aid sent by China to Afghanistan, at a distribution center in Kabul, Afghanistan, April 7, 2022.
The Chinese government delivered aid Thursday in the form of rice for 3,000 needy and displaced Afghan people in Kabul.
Although people were grateful for the assistance, some said the aid was not sufficient amid the ongoing crisis the country is facing.
“This assistance could be sufficient for a couple of days, but this is not a permanent solution for people,” Kabul resident, Sarfaraz, told Reuters.”
Local authorities thanked the Chinese government for the aid and said they hoped the country would increase its assistance in the future.
