SHOPIAN: Mission Shakti – Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women, Shopian, today organized an awareness-cum-interactive programme at Anganwadi Centre (AWC) Aloowpora, aimed at sensitizing the local community about various government welfare schemes and initiatives dedicated to the upliftment of underprivileged women in the district.
During the event, officials from Mission Shakti briefed participants about the ongoing schemes and services available for women’s welfare, their rights, entitlements, and the procedures to access these benefits. Women were also encouraged to pursue self-employment by availing themselves of various government-supported livelihood programmes.
Participants were informed about key helpline numbers and support mechanisms available for women in distress. The team also took note of the grievances and concerns raised by the women from the area and assured timely follow-up with the concerned authorities.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from local women, who appreciated the outreach efforts of Mission Shakti in empowering rural women and guiding them towards self-reliance and socio-economic development.
