SRINAGAR: Thousands of aspirants who appeared for the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) Constable written examination conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) in December 2024 are anxiously awaiting updates on the next phase of the recruitment process.

The Physical Endurance Test and Physical Standard Test (PET/PST), remain indefinitely delayed with no official word from the authorities, leaving candidates in a state of limbo.

For months, hopeful candidates have been preparing tirelessly, maintaining physical fitness and readiness for the next stage. However, the prolonged silence and lack of communication from JKSSB have fueled growing frustration and anxiety among those who have invested significant time, effort, and hope in the recruitment process.

Many aspirants, while reaching out to Press Exclusive, have expressed that the uncertainty is taking a toll not only on their mental well-being but also on their ability to plan their futures.

In the absence of any clear timeline or public update, candidates are appealing for intervention and are urging the authorities to break the silence. “We demand for either an immediate announcement of the PET/PST list or at the very least, transparent communication regarding the expected schedule,” said a group of aspirants.

They stress that even a simple update could go a long way in reducing the stress and speculation that has engulfed this recruitment drive.
