Srinagar: Another youth drowned in Nallah while bathing in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Scroll quoted officials as saying that Umar Hameed, son of Ab Hameed Dar, resident of Naseer Abad Sopore drowned in nallah while bathing at Pohru nallah Sopore.
He added that rescue operation was started soon after the incident and now efforts are on to rescue him.
He said that police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.
Earlier, Nadeem (19), son of Zahoor Ahmad resident of Mir Mohalla Hajin drowned in river Jhelum near Jamia Masjid at Hajin Bandipora while bathing.
