Srinagar: Altaf Bukhari appeals to LG & district administration to assess the damage caused by recent flashfloods in many districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Altaf Bukhari while talking with Kashmir Scroll (KS) said, “I Appeal LG administration admin and concerned district administrations’ to assess the damage and compensate and rehabilitate the victims on a priority”.
“I urge the people in the affected areas to refrain from venturing near rivers and rivulets till the situation eases”, Bukhari said.
Recent heavy rains in the Jammu and Kashmir created havoc, many districts witnessed flashfloods which caused huge damage to residential houses, standing crops and orchards.
Kathua recorded at least 8 deaths during flashfloods.
Kulgam, Shopian, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Fakir Gujri hamlet in Srinagar, Kathua witnessed heavy flashfloods and demages. (KS)
