Srinagar: In a development that could possibly ruffle the feathers of people interested in politics, a young Kashmir-based journalist is set to join politics in the coming days.
Sources privy to the development have said that Ishrat Bhat, who has been a face in the lot of (video) journalists off-late, has indicated that she has taken the decision to join active politics. “The decision of her joining politics has come after a lot of consideration”, say sources.
Hailing from Lolab Kupwara, Ishrat has been vocal, especially on social-media, on day-to-day happenings and issues in Kashmir Valley and beyond.
If sources are to be believed, Bhat may get some important posting in a recently flouted political party in view of upcoming Parliamentary elections.
