SOPORE: SRM Welkin School with an aim to create awareness amongst the students on pros and cons of internet, organized a Camp on Internet addiction on Monday.
The lecture was delivered by Dr Inayat. Mrs Bashima Begum, Principal SRM Welkin school was the chief guest of the occasion. The activities conducted during the event were, The lecture started with various usages of internet and smart phone.
The lecture covered the mindset of technology giants and SM platform.
Their focus on increasing viewership and time spent by us which, benefits them in generation of revenue. These platform focuses on viewer addiction and not necessarily on imparting knowledge.
After the lecture, Q&A session took place.
A total of 146 students and 11 teachers attended the event. The event provided a platform for the students to be aware of internet as a double edged sword.The importance of self-control and quality content viewing on internet was also briefed to the students.
