SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday ordered the closure of 48 tourist destinations across Kashmir out of a total of 87.

Daily Excelsior reported that the tourist destinations that have been closed include:

Meanwhile, the passenger arrivals at Srinagar Airport continue to fall sharply, and search operations at suspected locations entered their second week.

“Proper security arrangements have been put in place at the remaining destinations. The closure of these locations is temporary and will be reviewed as the situation evolves,” an official quoted by Excelsior said.
