SRINAGAR: At least three armymen of Mahar Regiment were killed after an avalanche hit their base camp at the Siachen glacier in Ladakh on Tuesday.
News agency KNO quoted an official as saying that the personnel were trapped under snow for nearly 5 hours before rescue teams reached the spot. “An Army captain, who was also caught in the avalanche, was rescued.”
