Srinagar: Two persons have been arrested and two pistols and four magazines alongside currency recovered from their possession during a cordon-and-search-operation Salian and Bhunikeith in y Surankote on Wednesday, officials said.
Local news agency Kashmir Scroll quoted reliable sources as saying that a cordon-and-search-operation was launched by SOG Surankote alongwith SOG Poonch and SOG Rajouri in Salian and Bhunikeith during which the joint team apprehended two persons.
Identifying the duo as Aijaz Ahmad son of Abdul Rashid and Gulshan Ahmed son of Mohammad Sharif, both residents of village Salian, the officials further said that two pistols besides 4 magazines and 2.5 lakhs INR were recovered from their possession.
