New Delhi: Two civil services aspirants died and one went missing in Delhi after an IAS coaching centre in the city was flooded, officials said on Saturday.
According to initial reports, the student, who were attending Rao IAS Coaching Institute, went missing since the incident. Later, the body of one girl student was recovered.
The Delhi Fire Service, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and Delhi Police are on-site conducting search and rescue operations.
“Basement of a coaching institute in the national capital filled with water. NDRF teams are at the spot,” said Delhi Police as per Indian Today.
The fire department received a distress call at around 7 pm, prompting an immediate response. Efforts to contact the missing students through their mobile numbers have been unsuccessful, as their phones are not reachable.
Authorities are thoroughly searching the basement of the coaching centre to locate the missing students.
